Security sector gaps in Moldova, analysis and proposals

Abstract
Paper is targeted to international partners and national deciders looking for a strategic analysis and proposals for improvements of the Moldova’s Security Sector. Analysis is referring to parliamentary supervision of the security sector; role and place of the Supreme Security Council of Moldova; urgent need for reforming Security and Intelligence Service of Moldova and some aspects of military neutrality of the state. We consider that named domains have critical deficiencies and require resetting.

These proposals were elaborated following interest of Moldova’s international partner to the current state of security sector, assessments and needs. Proposals are argued with previous years studies of the author regarding Moldova’s security sector.
